Research

My work is focused on Clp family of chaperones and proteases in the cyanobacteria Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942. The work involves both finding roles for Clp proteins in vivo, and in vitro studies of purified proteins.
Techniques used in this work includes DNA cloning, protein over expression and purification and in vitro biochemical assays.
