Field endocrinology (i.e. the integration between environmental factors and the enodcrine system in the regulation of behaviour in free-living birds).

Stress - endocrine regulation and dynamics of the stress response and variations in stress sensitivity. Ecological implications of acute stress in birds.

Endocrine control of aggressive behaviour and its expression within (high testosteron levels) and outside (low testosterone levels) the breeding season.

Global warming and physiological adaptations to changing environmental conditions during reproduction in connection with extended (more northern) breeding areas in birds.

Influence of endocrine disrupters on the organisation of the developing avian brain (in embryos and/or newly hatched birds) and its consequences on gender related behaviours in adult birds.
